If you are thinking about scheduling a session with me please read this first. Due to the current pandemic I cannot provide massage therapy and comply with social distancing being six feet away. I have a small home office and can only see a very limited number of individuals each week. I will require each person to have a phone conversation and orientation as well as completing a new digital intake form. Payment will also be required to be touchless by Square or by use of the Unite for Her Passport. Each session will be created and cultivated to meet your needs and goals. Here is a quick overview of the areas I specialize in so you can see if we could work together well.
Oncology Massage is preferred for survivors and those in current treatment. Safe and effective hands on sessions utilizing modified classical massage therapy, subtle bodywork, lymphatic and fascial techniques can address a myriad of side effects such as anxiety, fatique, chemotherapy induced neuropathy, pain, post-op recovery & scar tissue. I am a Wellness Provider for Unite for Her, a Preferred Practitioner, Recognized Educational Provider and Regional Champion with the Society for Oncology Massage.
“Massage therapy is not contraindicated in cancer patients, massaging a tumor is, but there is a great deal more to a person than the tumor.”
~Roger E. Alberty, MD, Director Dept. of Surgery, St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Portland, Oregon
Massage Therapy & Bodywork with a Medical Focus can best address situations requiring pain management, from serious post-op recovery to the beginnings of arthritis. Massage therapy and bodywork may be an effective non-pharmacological pain management option for acute and chronic pain. I suggest we begin with a half-hour session, focusing on a specific area to see if this will work for you.
“Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person;
having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words,
but to pour them all out, chaff and grain together,
knowing that a faithful hand will take an sift them,
keep what is worth keeping, and then,
with the breath of kindness, blow the rest away.”
~Dinah Maria Mulock Craik

“Birth is not only about making babies.
Birth is about making mothers…
